Day 38 of 50: My breath was taken away by Hinewehi Mohi, Māori composer, and her song, “Hineraukatauri,” composed in collaboration with Jaz Coleman.
Listening to “Hineraukatauri,” I envision the Goddess of Music taking my hand and leading me to a sacred space blooming with light, radiating from clouds heavy with chaos. Beauty in the face of destruction. Hope comforting despair. Harmony despite a seemingly endless cacophony. A single note sings clarity.
