Day 17 of 50: I am enchanted by Sinta Wullur, Indonesian-Dutch composer, and her “Samudra” for voice and piano, influenced by Indonesian gamelan patterns.
Listening to “Samudra,” I feel the wind blowing, leaves stirring gently, awakened high above me. Sunlight filters through the canopy, dashing quick rays across my visage. I miss the crunch of fallen foliage, instead, I hear the crooning of a white-clad brook nearby. I stand still yet traverse so many spaces at once - the nooks and crannies of Mother Earth.
