Day 27 of 50: I’m inspired today by Chihchun Chi-sun Lee, Taiwanese-American composer, and her “Sound Color Density (聲、色、質)” for liuqin and piano.
Listening to “Sound Color Density (聲、色、質)”, I feel as though I’m stepping through multiple dimensions, tickled here and there by other planes billowing in like omnipresent clouds that peer curiously over my shoulder as I sift through the chirps and squeaks of the liuqin + piano. Deeper in I go until I’m wrapped in a golden paradise, a fog that makes me wonder, “Where am I?” “What world of whimsy have I entered?” A universe within a universe?
