Day 22 of 50: Today, I am struck by Caitlin Yeo, Asian-Australian composer, and her original film music scores for the AACTA-nominated film, “The Rocket” (2013), in particular, “Will Anyone Launch My Rocket” and “Bat Breaks the Sky.” Did you know? Yeo’s film score was nominated for “Best Original Music Score” for the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards!
Listening to “Will Anyone Launch My Rocket” and “Bat Breaks the Sky,” I hear Choice sifting through the broad expanse of the Unknown, searching for a carrier - someone to take ownership… accountability for its consequences with courage and conviction. Who will bear the burden and possibility of Choice? Who will watch Choice’s fallout soar high above the clouds, beyond the sun, throughout the heavens?
