Day 43 of 50: Today, I am energized by Gabriela Ortiz, Mexican composer, and her “Yanga” for percussion quartet, choir, and orchestra.
Listening to “Yanga,” I am touched by the blaze of unfettered potential and find my soul leaping, bounding into another world overflowing with radiant victory and promise. No challenge too difficult, no obstacle to high! I am ready for anything, bursting into flame.
