Day 29 of 50: Today, I am mesmerized by Tanya Ekanayaka, Sri Lankan-British composer, and her “Adahas: Of Wings of Roots” for solo piano.
Listening to “Adahas: Of Wings of Roots,” I feel a surge of energy rise within me as though I will reach the moon in a single sweep of my hand. If I fall, there will only be many other moons to choose from. “Never a feat insurmountable!” I exclaim. A joy of rising above the ashes and flying higher than I ever have been before.
